A Gift of Gratitude to Today’s Heroes Who Selflessly Serve

Our Purpose:

The purpose of The Gift of Gratitude Foundation is to express love and gratitude towards those who serve to protect our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. These men and women are our veterans, peace officers, first responders, doctors, nurses, and those who serve selflessly on behalf of their fellowmen. The Gift of Gratitude Foundation honors those men and women with works of art inspired by stories of faith, virtue, and courage.

The Healing Power of Art:

Billions of dollars are spent on advertising each year because people are affected by what they view. Art and images influence people in a way that we don’t fully understand. Through the Gift of Gratitude Foundation, we gift inspirational art to recognize and show appreciation to those who have served our country. Some may ask, why art? Visual art influences mood and cognition. According to the Center for Health Design, an article in the Wall Street Journal, and several other studies, art has the ability to destress, reduce pain, and has several other benefits to overall health (reduce anxiety, fatigue, blood pressure, etc.)- particularly art depicting nature or people. This is why there are an abundance of photos and paintings in hospitals today.

Through representational art and illustration, we give these servicemen and women an image and story to inspire and relate to. The back story of each painting is one of strength, courage, integrity, and self-sacrifice for a cause that they believe in. They cover topics of ministering, suicide, and overcoming obstacles. These paintings relate a story of defending liberty and protecting our families, friends, country and the freedoms we have been blessed with. We hope that these gifts of gratitude will serve as a reminder to the recipients that we are grateful for their sacrifice and that they are not alone.
